Week 3 Research 1

Monday, June 27

Planners: Begin library research on your topic.

  • Task for today: We will go to the the library after attendance and meet on the first floor by the windows on the other side of the collapsible shelving. If you haven't already, Go on your name page and in a 'Class Work' section, start a new page for your notes. You can copy and paste the following code, inserting your own name before the second set of brackets:
[[[Research Notes YourName]]]
  • Begin reading through the sources you have found through the library catalog and take notes.
  • Remember: For MLA citations you need to take note of author's name(s), title of book or article, the publisher, place and date of publication, and page numbers.
  • We are only using the library catalog for research! The only two sites you should be on are the wiki and the library website!
  • NOTE: You must find and take notes on three different sources of information to pass this week. You will not have time to read an entire book, so use the index and/or table of contents to find a section that interests you and then just focus on that.
