Format for Outline

I. Introduction

A. Hook: Twinkie a Jack Russell Terrier broke the Guinness World Record for popping 100 balloons. The time to beat was 44.49 seconds which his mom set the record from 2005 to 2015 ,and he did it in 39.08 seconds. He used his mouth and front paws to pop them.

B. Bridge: Jack Russell Terriers are amazing and great dogs.

C. Thesis Statement: Jack Russell Terriers are great dogs and have a short history.

II. First subtopic: The history of Jack Russell Terriers is short.

A. Topic Sentence: Jack Russell Terriers are originally from England.

  1. supporting evidence #1: They were obtained by John Russell of Devonshire, England in the mid 1800's.
  2. supporting evidence #2: First he made a line of Terriers to bolt fox and then from them made a line of Terriers to hunt rats.
  3. supporting evidence #3: He declined to show his bred in confirmation shows.

B. Concluding Statement: Jack Russell Terriers were bred to bolt fox and hunt rats.

III. Second subtopic: The Jack Russell Terrier Breed has a lot of energy.

  3. supporting evidence #3: They have a jet black nose, black pigmented lips, folded V-shaped ears, long pointed muzzle, and almond shaped eyes.
