Twinkie, a Jack Russell Terrier form California, broke the Guinness World Record for popping 100 balloons. The time to beat was 44.49 seconds, which is the record time his mom Anastacia held from 2005 to 2015. Then Twinkie beat it getting 39.08 seconds. He used his mouth and front paws to pop them. Both Twinkie and Anastacia are owned by the same trainer. This shows how Jack Russell Terriers are amazing and smart dogs. Jack Russell Terriers are great dogs and have a short history.

The history of Jack Russell Terriers is short. According to Caroline D. Coile, Jack Russell Terriers are originally from England. They were obtained by John Russell of Devonshire, England in the mid 1800's. First Russell made a line of Terriers to bolt fox, he called them the Parson Russell Terrier. Then from the Parson Russell Terrier he made a line of Terriers to hunt rats. John Russell declined to show his breed in confirmation shows. To this day most owners follow that tradition, but some have started putting their dogs in the show rings. Twinkie has competition now because during practice Cally popped the same amount of balloons in only 41.67 seconds. Jack Russell Terriers are smart dogs.
