Pearson, Susan

Pearson, Susan. "Animals and Children First: A History of Humane Societies." Chicago Humanities Festival. Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. 7 November 2013. Web. 20 June 2016.

Notes

She talks about a story of a woman who wanted to help an abused child next door to her. So the only help that the woman got was from an organization that protected animals the ASPCA. So after that that the ASPCA and the ASPCC worked together. Then soon after the Humane society came to be and has helped many people and animals.

This speech was posted on November 7 2013 and yes it is helpful and works for a current situation. In the speech I think it helped with the basics of none-profits, Its also directed at people who are interested in the none-profit organizations and who want help. The speakers name was Susan Pearson who is associated with the humane societies. Yes there is evidence to support her speech. I think the purpose of speech was to inform and influence.
